Skywatch Friday - Buddha by the Pond

Sri Lanka is a land of Buddhas. Literally.

The beautiful country must be having largest number of Buddhas per sq KM!

And they are all lovingly crafted and worshipped.

When you drive in Sri Lanka you will come across Buddhas in different setting.

We are not sure where we saw this statue. This was the most picturesque setting of Buddha.

The Serene pond.

Clear waters.

Rains had turned landscape green.

The cloudy sky.

The colours of Buddha adding the perfect harmony to the surroundings.

Look at it again. Don't you agree with what we felt when we stopped and clicked this on a cloudy afternoon?

I do agree: It's a tranquil scene.

Such a serene photo, both the peaceful Buddha and the tranquil waters really inspire a sense of calm. The green landscape does as well! (And there is nothing like an overcast sky to really make colors pop!) A lovely photo of a lovely place.
